School Upper level program (Grades 7-12)
Chop Point feels self-esteem is based on hard work, not on false accomplishments. Although the atmosphere at the school is relaxed, the academic expectations of the students are challenging. The staff strives to give each student successes and guide them in areas that need improvement.
"The staff at Chop Point truly cares about each individual student."

The high school graduation requirements are similar to any typical college preparatory school. Students take four years of English, math, science, and Spanish, along with three years of history. Electives such as economics, psychology, computer, music, and art, are also offered. Students are expected to do at least two hours of homework a night to keep current with their studies.
The A Beka curriculum is used for junior and senior high school history classes. We use Saxon math, a program that allows each student to work at an appropriate level of challenge. The problem sets incorporate new materials while reinforcing previously learned concepts. English courses emphasize grammar and reading comprehension in grades seven through ten, while the upperclassmen focus on the study of classical literature and expository writing. Science and Spanish use secular texts selected to meet those course requirements.
